There are alot of detractors from multi-billionaire T. Boone Pickens' energy plan- and for good reason. He stands to make large gains financially if the government subsidizes wind energy in time for the construction of his Wind Farm in Texas and he's also the worlds top investor in the technology. When questioned about the financial aspect of his plan Pickens typically responds “I’m 80 years old, and I’m worth $4 billion. I have plenty of money.I think it shows leadership that I’m putting my money into the wind business, and I’m willing to put my money where my mouth is.” Whether brought about by greed or genuine activism the Pickens plan is a step in the right direction in terms of green, sustainable energy production.
